Elizabeth Slade, Director of Innovation at Public Montessori in Action
Elizabeth has been a Montessori educator for over 30 years. She worked in both Springfield Public Schools and Hartford Public Schools building public Montessori programs, implementing systems to support all children through the Child Study process and developing the art of Montessori Coaching. For the past six years, she worked at the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector leading school start-ups, designing Child Study trainings and bringing the Montessori coaching method to hundreds of schools across the country.
Elizabeth has led a Montessori training residency and been a frequent presenter at regional and national Montessori conferences and contributor to Montessori and non-Montessori publications. Currently Elizabeth is working on a book about building resilient Montessori schools which is due to be released in August 2021.
Elizabeth earned her AMI Elementary Diploma from the Washington Montessori Institute, and her AMS Administrative Credential at the Center for Contemporary Montessori Studies. In addition, she has a Master of Fine Arts in writing from Spalding University.
